Dr. Sprenkle has over 4 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults from a diversity of cultural backgrounds. Dr. Sprenkle earned his B.A. from Point Park University in Pittsburgh PA and his Psy.D from Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He has experience serving clientele in hospital settings, outpatient facilities and with primary/ secondary schools.
In treatment, Dr. Sprenkle fosters a safe, open relationship to help clients unpack their difficulties and to explore possibilities that can be unnoticed. He utilizes an existential- humanistic approach to therapy, whereby the unique experience of individuals can be brought to light and better understood, so that clients can more mindfully navigate life's difficulties.
Dr. Sprenkle has a particular specialty in working with psychological trauma, suicidality and spiritual issues. He works with clients ages 4 and older and provides individual, couples and family therapy. Dr. Sprenkle also utilizes psychological assessment for a variety of presenting concerns.
Dr. Pagan-Romney has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She obtained a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, and prior, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Universidad del Turabo in Puerto Rico. She has worked in interdisciplinary teams in hospitals, community mental health organizations, outpatient, and school settings.
She has well-rounded experience conducting psychological assessments, individual, couples, and family therapies. She specializes in individuals presenting a wide range of issues across the life span, such as depression, anxiety, developmental delays, stress, trauma, life transitions, adjustment, and family dynamics.
Her therapeutic approach can best be described as integrative with a particular focus on attachment-relational issues to help patients understand the root, triggers, and the dynamics most likely maintaining the individual’s distress. She incorporates evidence-informed care, such as, Mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Therapy to provide individualized interventions that best fit the needs of the patient.
Additionally, she strives to promote positive change using strength based and person-centered approaches. Dr. Pagan-Romney is passionate about holistic care, and encourages an integrated approach to health and wellness, where the needs of the mind, the body, the family and the larger community are considered and become part of the treatment process. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and embraces diversity and culture as a strong foundation for self-actualization.
